HEADLINE: Kansas City, MO - 8 October 2008 - Kansas City Citizens Protest Bailout
Following the passage of a $750 billion bailout of financial institutions last week, Kansas City residents are staging a peaceful rally on Sunday, October 12 at the famous J.C. Nichols Fountain on the Country Club Plaza, 47th and J.C. Nichols Parkway in Kansas City.
?This bailout is just the straw that broke the camel's back?, said one area resident. ?We have had it with the way our representatives ignore us and vote any way they wish based on some back room deal in congress.?
Voters across the nation spoke out loudly against the bailout bill, but were ignored. It is estimated that Kansas City voters were against the bill at a ratio of 3 to 1, while other cities have estimated up to a ratio of 9 to 1 against the bill.
District 5 Congressman Emanuel Cleaver voted in favor of the bailout.

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children
wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Thomas Jefferson
A letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802) 3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)
Obama or McCain? Is Our Vote going to the same person?
If the Economy is your biggest issue: Both Obama and McCain voted for the bailouts. Which will eventually lead
to the destruction of the US dollar by stagflation and Government owned Banks, States and Infrastructure.
If Immigration is your biggest issue: Both Obama and McCain supports Amnesty / permanent legalization for illegal
Immigrants. This will hamper with the health care system and overwhelm our economy.
If Civil Liberties is your biggest issue: Both Obama and McCain voted ?YES? on extending the Patriot Act. This Document
was passed in fear of the American People and declaring that the war on Terrorism has no international boundaries. It erodes
most measures, if not all of the Constitution. Both Obama and McCain voted for the Real Id Act. This is a standardization / federalization of you Identification. Most likely
with Biometrics / facial recognition capabilities as well as the instillation of a RFID chip (radio frequency identification), Leading
to a show-me-your-papers society.
If Citizen Rignts is you biggest issue: Both Obama and McCain want nothing to do with the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007. This document written up
by congressmen Ron Paul (Tx) to repeal the Military Commissions Act - which casts aside the Constitution and the principle of habeas corpus,
which protects against unlawful and indefinite imprisonment. It also gave the president absolute power to designate enemy combatants,
anytime, anywhere, anyplace anyact.
Don?t just vote (D), (R), (L), (C), (I), or (anything else) because you feel obligated to.
